TEACH IN CHINA

How to find teaching jobs in China

Prepare a focused application and compare a school's role, requirements and employment arrangements before moving forward.

Start with the role you can evidence

Choose the subject, student age group and curriculum that fit your experience. Distinguish classroom teaching, language teaching, PE and school leadership. Build a short profile showing relevant qualifications, recent responsibilities and availability, rather than applying with one generic CV.

Check the vacancy at its source

Read the employer's official job description and confirm whether recruitment is still open. Ask about the legal employer, campus, timetable, reporting line and selection stages. External careers pages are research sources; their appearance here does not imply a TFI Connect partnership or a vacancy in our network.

Prepare an interview-ready application

Keep your CV, qualification details and professional references consistent. Prepare a lesson example and an explanation of how you assess learning. Ask the recruiter which documents are needed at screening and which should wait for a secure, authorised request.

Confirm the employment route

Before accepting an offer, ask who manages the work-permit application and review the written employment terms. Shenzhen's official guide describes employer and applicant requirements for that city. A recruiter's screening decision does not establish immigration eligibility or guarantee a school offer.
